Katherine (Kathy) Fedder spent 31 years with the Michigan Department of Agriculture where she held positions in the pesticide, plant pest, agricultural products, marketing and food safety programs. She retired in 2010 after serving 12 years as Director of the Food and Dairy Division. Upon retirement she spent 3 years as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Neogen Corporation, an international food and animal safety technology company based in Lansing, Michigan. Kathy has been a contractor with IFPTI since May 2015, serving as a facilitator on the National Curriculum Standard project and as a subject matter expert and content developer on the Fellowship Redevelopment Project. She also serves as a mediator in her community.
Kathy holds a bachelor degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Grand Valley State University, and has done post-graduate work in food safety policy. She currently resides in Manistee, Michigan.
