Lone Jespersen is a citizen of Denmark with permanent residence in Canada since 2000. Lone holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering and started her career as Research and Development Engineer at Dan-Foam A/S in 1996. Lone continued her work in the automobile industry as Engineering and Operations Manager for Woodbridge Foam in 2000. In 2004 Lone joined Maple Leaf Foods as a Six Sigma Black Belt and continued her passion for food science and safety in her current role as Director, Food Safety Strategy. In her role Lone is responsible for the execution of the Food Safety strategy at Maple Leaf. Lone is currently pursuing a Master of Food Science at the University of Guelph and under the supervision of Dr. Mansel Griffiths working on her thesis of “Food Safety Behaviours Made to Stick”.
