IFPTI takes a systems-based approach to create food protection curricula which support career-spanning professional development.
In 2017, IFPTI will facilitate Subject Matter Expert (SME) Workgroups to help develop and pilot a National Assessment and Training Strategy (NATS) for the National Curriculum Standard (NCS). NATS will incorporate field-based learning experiences, instructor skills training, competency assessment tools, and trained assessors to ensure that regulatory food protection professionals across all jurisdictions perform their jobs in alignment with the competencies contained in the NCS. The project is being funded through a Cooperative Agreement between IFPTI and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of Human Resource Development. The following video provides a brief outline of how NATS could be implemented in the workplace. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
