RLTS Updates

Numerous activities are underway for implementation of the Regulatory and Laboratory Training System (RLTS), including:

  • Steering Committee and Standards review committees are finalizing seven RLTS quality standards.

  • The Steering Committee is reviewing a draft business model for the National Coordination Center (NCC).

  • Plans are underway for a face-to-face Steering Committee meeting in Bethesda, MD on December 10th and 11th.

  • APHL and AFDO have begun quality standards reviews for FDA training materials.

  • An RLTS video has been created by IFPTI and is under FDA review.

  • A video on the National Curriculum Standard (NCS) to support the RLTS has been created and is now available here.

  • A committee has been formed to address the creation of a National Learning Management System.

  • IFPTI is working on a process to identify competencies for learning resources that map to the National Curriculum Standards (NCS).

  • FDA has begun work to propose amendments to the Regulatory Program Standards.
