Regulatory and Laboratory Training System (RLTS)

Stakeholder Engagement

How can you get involved?

We need human and animal food regulatory and laboratory subject matter experts (SMEs) to complete the build-out and validation of the National Curriculum Standard (NCS). We also need adult learning/training/instructional design SMEs to serve on advisory committees to develop national course content, design, delivery, and alignment/equivalency determination standards and policies.

National Curriculum Standard Committee: Works in collaboration with the PFP Training & Certification Workgroup to reaffirm the purpose, objectives, and intended use of the NCSs, oversee the build-out of the NCSs, and maintain the NCSs so they stay updated.

Advisory Learning resource content advisory committee: Using standards and policies related to the content of training materials, reviews subject-matter for technical accuracy, quality, and fit for purpose.

Learning resource design advisory committee: Using standards and policies related to learning resource design, reviews training materials for adherence to best instructional design practices.

Learning resource delivery advisory committee: Using standards and policies related to delivery or implementation of training, reviews plans for assuring quality and effectiveness of training dissemination and evaluation of instructor performance.

Learning resource alignment committee: Using standards and policies regarding the determination of learning resource alignment with the NCS, reviews the identified competencies of submitted training against the NCS competencies to create a competency profile for the learning resource.

Purpose of the Stakeholder Survey

The primary purpose of this survey is to gain insights into the level of interest and commitment among organizations and entities to support the establishment of a Public Private Partnership called the National Coordination Center (NCC) for regulatory and laboratory training. By conducting this survey, we aim to:

1. Determine the willingness of organizations to support this initiative.

2. Identify the motivations, expectations, and concerns of potential contributors.

3. Gather valuable insights and suggestions from stakeholders to shape the development of this Public Private Partnership.

Your participation and candid responses will play a crucial role in informing the feasibility and potential success of this initiative, which ultimately aims to strengthen food safety regulations, improve industry compliance, enhance public health, and bolster the overall food safety ecosystem.

IFPTI assures you that your responses will be kept confidential and used solely for research purposes. We encourage you (but it is not required) to include contact information so that we can follow up with additional questions if needed.
