IFPTI Launches East Africa Training Program
IFPTI has partnered with Land O’Lakes Venture 37 to launch a training program for regulatory officials in four countries: Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya. The program falls under the TRASE initiative funded by the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service’s Food for Progress grant. IFPTI has enrolled 100 regulators from these counties into 25 basic, online regulator courses. Additionally, two instructor-led virtual sessions on the “Applications of Inspections and Investigations” were conducted for these 100 regulators over the weeks of August 29 – September 7. A Train-the-Trainer instructor course will be conducted by IFPTI in Kampala, Uganda during the week of October 2, 2023. Twenty regulators from the four countries will practice teaching the course so it can be incorporated into their counties’ regulatory curriculum.
