IFPTI led the development of the Global Food and Medical Product Government Regulator Curriculum Framework, which addresses the competencies needed by Basic-level  Regulators of food, drugs, and medical devices working in low- to middle-income countries.

In collaboration with WHO and FDA, IFPTI convened an international Expert Panel representing governmental agencies, national and international organizations, academia, industry, and other stakeholders. The Global Framework serves as the foundation upon which an education and training curriculum can be built.
