The IFSS Basic Level Investigation Principles course provides an overview of food allergens, including labeling requirements, preventive controls, and societal impact.

  • Goal: Participants will be able to recognize the control of allergens in relation to food safety.

  • Scope: Topics in this course include Foundations, Labeling Requirements, and Control Measures.

Laws, Regulations, Policies, and Procedures

This IFSS Basic Level Laws, Regulations, Policies, and Procedures course provides introductory knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the system of federal, state, and local laws that provide the authority to regulate feed and food, and associated policies and procedures.

  • Participants will be able to recognize legal authority to conduct regulatory activities.

  • Scope: Topics in this course include Foundations, Laws, Regulations, Policies and Procedures, and Guidance.

Sampling

After completion of this IFSS Basic Level course participants will be able to exhibit introductory knowledge, skills, and abilities related to protocols when collecting samples.
