Catching up with Roxanne Hill

Roxanne Hill was a member of Cohort II and a Supervising Food Inspector/Food Inspector 2 for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM). At that time, Roxanne supervised Zone 12 which encompassed parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan in New York City.

Since completing the Fellowship Program , Roxanne continues to work in the Food Safety and Inspection Section of AGM. She transferred from the NYC area to the Central Office in Albany.  Moving upstate provided exposure to firms, products, and areas intriguingly different from the City. Roxanne supervises Zone 1, trains new inspectors for her zone and participates in the NYS AGM Training Academy and other projects.  Along with others in AGM, Roxanne is currently on a project to adopt the Food Code.

“The Fellowship Program was a unique and amazing experience for me. The classroom setting, knowledge gained and meeting others from across the country was awesome…though flying in small planes not so much. I treasure the experience and I am glad I was accepted and completed the Fellowship Program. I highly recommend the program to everyone.” - Roxanne Hill
