Lab Curriculum Competencies Validated

In late July, the Laboratory Curriculum Framework (LCF) working group finalized the competency validation step through the review of the competency validation survey results.

The competencies relate to Entry Level Laboratory Analysts specializing in Chemistry or Microbiology, and make up ten specific content or topic areas such as Basic Mass Spectrometry, Basic Chromatography, Microbial Testing, and Aseptic Techniques.

Now that these competencies have been validated, they can be used for training development, cataloging existing training, or competency assessments.

More information on the Laboratory Framework can be found on both the IFPTI and the APHL websites.
