Progress Continues on the Building of the National Curriculum Standard

IFPTI continues to lead the development of the National Curriculum Standard (NCS) for regulators of human and animal food, as part of a Cooperative Agreement with FDA's Office of Training Education and Development.

This month's progress features a national standard (competencies plus behavioral anchors) drafted for Basic Level Regulators of Dairy on Farm and Grade A Dairy Processing plants. The Dairy Subject Matter Expert Group included representatives from FDA, CFSAN, and State regulatory agencies. The competencies will next be sent out to a wider audience of Dairy Subject Matter Experts for validation.

Next month's progress will include a national standard for Advanced Level Regulators of Acidified Food and Low-Acid Canned Food (LACF).
