Through the Transforming the Assessment and Inspection of Food Businesses in Egypt (TAIB) project overseen by Land O'Lakes Venture 37, IFPTI conducted a series of in-country Needs Assessments analyzing the regulatory capacity of the newly created National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) at the organizational, individual/workforce, and system level. 

IFPTI also adapted and delivered FDA courses to train NFSA instructors, delivered the Instructor Skills Training course, and drafted laws, regulations, policies, and procedures on a broad range of food regulatory activities such as inspections, emergency response, and imports/exports.
