IFPTI led the development of multiple competency-based curriculum frameworks for branches within the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), including the Inspectorate, Advisory, Laboratory, Animal Feed, and Veterinary Inspectorate.

IFPTI facilitated approximately thirty competency development workshops involving more than 125 SMEs from across Canada, along with observers from Health Canada, FDA, USDA, private industry, academia, and international governments. These competency-based frameworks are serving as the foundation for course design, development, and delivery.
