Personal Safety
This IFSS Basic Level Personal Safety course provides introductory knowledge, skills, and abilities related to hazards encountered by regulators, and appropriate protective actions to mitigate hazards.
Participants will be able to recognize safe practices based on assessment of risk.
Scope: Topics in this course include Foundations, Chemical Hazards, Equipment Hazards, and Physical and Environmental Hazards.
Course Objectives
Foundations
Define relevant terminology.
Recognize personal safety agency policy.
Recognize how to identify personal safety hazard
Recognize personal protection strategies.
Identify personal protective equipment (PPE).
Chemical Hazards
Identify chemical hazards.
Identify safety procedures associated with chemical hazards.
Equipment Hazards
Identify equipment hazards.
Recognize safety hazards related with equipment.
Physical and Environmental Hazards
Identity physical hazards.
Identify environmental hazards.
Identify safety procedures related to physical hazards.
Identify safety procedures related to environmental hazards.
