Public Health Principles
This IFSS Basic Level Public Health Principles course provides introductory knowledge, skills, and abilities related to how regulatory agencies promote health and prevent and control feed- and food-related illness.
Goal: Participants will be able to recognize basic public health concepts.
Scope: Topics in this course include Foundations, Ten Essential Services, and Public Health Policy.

Define the purpose of public health
Identify the relationship between the ten essential services and the three core functions of public health
